OSCE
As always, the most exciting workshop was the OSCE! Guided by experienced student leaders, participants were presented with two intriguing clinical cases to crack.

In the first scenario, the patient presented with tachycardia, clammy skin, tachypnoea, and hypotension. Navigating through the anamnesis and the maze of potential treatment paths proved both challenging and exhilarating. With thoughtful questioning and teamwork, participants extracted key information from the actors (who performed impressively), arrived at the diagnosis, and identified an effective management plan. The verdict? The patient was suffering from hemorrhagic shock due to abdominal bleeding — a classic yet intense case.

The second case centered on pulmonary embolism. The patient exhibited hallmark signs — tachypnoea, tachycardia, and a range of risk factors. Once again, participants were tasked with connecting the clinical dots, leading to insightful discussions on diagnosis and management.

These OSCE simulations are arguably the best “mini-experience” into a doctor’s decision-making process — asking the right questions, processing information on the fly, and translating knowledge into action. A huge shoutout to the student organizers for crafting an immersive and educational session!
