Ultrasound
The ultrasound workshop was conducted by none other than LF2’s Dr. Azzat Redouane. Known for his expertise in anatomy teaching and research, Dr. Redouane showed his pedagogical skill, by delicately balancing between basic anatomy and ultrasound sonography, making this workshop understandable and relevant even for preclinical students.

Starting off slowly, with a basic overview of fundamental principles, light anatomy, heart sounds and their likes, the workshop transitioned into a high calibre, yet easy-to-understand, guide on ultrasound. After the enriching talk, students took to applying their knowledge by using the probes on each other, under Dr. Redouane’s watchful eye. Participants inspected the Liver, Gall bladder, the Kidney. As a bonus, Dr. Redouane demonstrated the different views for an echocardiography! And to top it all off, Dr. Redouane also shared some pathologies and tips that you won’t find in the books, on how to spot and diagnose them.
